FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do you identify your primary photographic style?
My work is primarily inspired by a photojournalistic style. Strict photojournalism means absolutely no posed shots or “set-ups” by the photographer, and minimal “camera awareness” (people looking directly into the camera lens.) “Photojournalism” is a popular concept right now, and many of my clients say that this approach is what initially led them to choose me as their photographer. I act as an observer for most of my pictures, emphasizing the artistic capture of moments that actually happened, as they happened, with minimal interference from me
That being said, I’m not entirely limited to this style and my work is not “purely” photojournalistic. “Posed” or formal pictures are often also an important part of capturing your day, and I happen to utilize “camera awareness” a good deal, so my packages will include any style you desire. Both color and black and white, formal portraits or relaxed, candid photos This is your wedding, your decisions, and I discuss specific preferences with each couple.
Do you use digital or film media?
I shoot digitally.
How many photographers do you work with?
If you prefer two photographers, you’ll have 2 photographers.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes: I am the primary photographer.
Do you charge for travel?
If weddings take place more than 60 miles away, and even then it’s only a modest fee to cover expenses.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, although if you choose digital files as an option with your package you will receive permission to make prints and enlargements for personal use.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
Digital files are available as an option in all packages.
Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Soon.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I use Graphistudios albums: hand-bound in Italy. All kinds of finishes and covers are available: before you book your wedding, I offer a brief sit-down viewing or meeting where the couple can view the album possibilities.
When would I get the final book?
I’ll be able to answer this question better on a case-by-case basis: It mostly depends on how quickly you get back to me with your choices for options and/or photo selections.
